This role blends data engineering, analytical rigour, observability and telemetry analysis, and cloud value management to power the team’s cost transparency, attribution, and optimisation capabilities.In this role, you will:Develop and implement tooling and datasets driving telemetry-driven cost attribution and performance-informed financial modelling so product, engineering, analysts and finance stakeholders can make faster data-driven decisions and trust the data.Build and maintain data pipelines and tooling that provide cost transparency, surface optimisation opportunities, and support committed use discount modelling and management.Must have skillsExperience in a FinOps, Cloud Engineering, or Data Engineering role.Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Scala and workflow orchestration tools like dbt, Airflow & DagsterFinOps Practitioner or FinOps Engineer certificationPrevious experience architecting and enhancing long-term maintainability of end-to-end ELT/ETL data pipelinesExperience with data modelling and schema maturityExperience with AWS Glue, Aurora, Athena & SnowflakeExposure to CI/CD development processes and IaC (Terraform)REST API programming experienceHands-on experience with AWS, GCP & Datadog platforms and services.Strong attention to detail, analytical skill and comprehensive data auditing and end-to-end validation skillsNote: Query Large Databases (not Google Sheets)
