The successful individual will be an integral team member that will provide technical leadership for our remediation service lines for remediation projects located throughout the United States and, potentially, internationally. Primary responsibilities in this role will be focused on working with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals developing project solutions and high-quality work products. The successful team member will have additional opportunities to support the growth of our technical practice, expand our client portfolio, and mentor staff along their career path. Key to success will be the ability to work contemporaneously across multiple projects and advise the project teams to ensure quality and value for our clients and reduce/remove risks that impact project success.\n\nThis expert-level professional will support project managers and technical teams with skills in the follow areas:\nListen: Absorb the information needed to maintain an understanding of project objectives and an awareness of how the team is strategically planning and executing the project.\nThink: Identify potential issues and draw on experience and expertise to identify potential outcomes and alternative approaches or perspectives.\nAdvise: Evoke critical thinking by asking questions, posing alternative ideas, and exposing potential pitfalls and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.\nCollaborate: Support project teams in developing a strategic vision and identifying resources and methods to succeed.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nTechnical Expertise & Engineering Design\nLead or support remedial system designs such as groundwater extraction and treatment systems, soil vapor extraction systems, thermal remediation system, and in-situ injection remedies\nPrepare engineering design documents including technical specifications, bid packages, cost estimates, and as-built drawings\nPerform remedy selection and feasibility evaluations for complex sites with multiple contaminants and regulatory frameworks\nConduct performance monitoring design and optimization, and system O&M evaluations\nSupport permitting efforts (RCRA, NPDES, Air) and development of regulatory submittals\nProject & Task Management\nLead implementation of scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for technical task\nCoordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery\nPrepare and review work plans, technical reports, and remedial action plans\nEnsure effective communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams\nClient Service & Business Development\nServe as a technical resource in client meetings, regulatory discussions, and proposal development\nAssist in identifying growth opportunities within existing projects and client relationships\nSupport proposal preparation, cost estimating, and project scoping efforts\n\nRequired experience and expertise include:\nBachelor’s level degree or post-graduate degree in civil or environmental engineering.\nProfessional engineer licensing.\n15+ years of professional experience with at least 10+ years of environmental consulting experience strongly prefered.\nRemedial system design (e.g., groundwater treatment, soil vapor extraction, injection technologies, etc.) and development of as-built drawings.\nHighly rated candidates will have expertise or experience in one or more of the following areas:\nWater Treatment System Design for the following classes of contaminants\nChlorinated volatile organic compounds\nPetroleum hydrocarbons\nMetals\nNon-Aqueous Phase Liquids\nPFAS/PFOA\nSoil Vapor Extraction systems\nVapor Treatment Systems\nSub-slab depressurization systems\nNAPL recovery and management\nElectrical power and control systems\nKnowledge of industrial processes.\nRemedial investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial alternatives evaluations.\nPerformance monitoring program design, evaluation, and optimization.\nTechnical reporting (work plans, remedial action plans, etc.).\nProject and task management – planning and implementation of scope, schedule, budget.\nStrong understanding federal and state environmental regulations and technical guidance.\n\nKey skills and traits:\nExcellent writing and editing skills.
