Job Summary:
As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your primary goal will be to support and assist elderly or disabled residents with their daily activities and ensure their overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
Help residents with mobility by transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking
Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
Serve meals and assist residents with feeding
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Follow care plans and adhere to facility policies and procedures
Document all care provided to residents accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications and Skills:
Current LNA certification in the state of employment
High school diploma or equivalent
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Compassion and empathy towards elderly or disabled individuals
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and bending
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
