This position is responsible for preparing and interpreting engineering plans, drawings, and reports, and for planning and designing field‑mounted switches serving areas. The role also involves specific job budget development and tracking.\nThe engineer performs duties such as preparing and organizing permit packages for submittal to the appropriate entities, maintaining complex files, keeping records, searching and investigating information contained in files, processing departmental documents that require specific knowledge of functional operations, posting records including accounting and continuing property records, typing correspondence and reports from rough drafts, and assisting engineers as requested.\nThe OSP Engineer is responsible for understanding and designing network elements that provide Fiber‑to‑Home and fiber solutions. They will interface with multiple groups and collaborate on intra‑ and inter‑state designs for implementation. They are expected to have a working knowledge of equipment used to provide answers regarding installation and function of equipment when being placed in service. They will also need to understand circuit design, the functionality of these devices, and work within the system used for this purpose.
