The role involves migrating the current Oracle database to PostgreSQL on Microsoft Azure, proactively managing database environments, and ensuring scalability and high performance.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nLead migration from Oracle to Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL, use Ora2Pg tool for schemas, packages, views, and triggers.\r\nPlan, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL backup and disaster recovery processes.\r\nMonitor, tune, and optimize database performance and resource allocation.\r\nMaintain technical documentation using defined templates and provide recommendations for effective solutions.\r\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate high-level objectives into technical requirements.\r\nPerform patching, upgrades, and rollouts to ensure secure services with minimal downtime.\r\nWork within a structured Agile development approach.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree.\r\nMust be U.S. Citizenship.\r\n7+ years of administering PostgreSQL databases in Linux environments.\r\nExperience setting up, monitoring, and maintaining PostgreSQL instances.\r\nExperience implementing PostgreSQL backup and disaster recovery.\r\nExperience migrating Oracle schema and objects to PostgreSQL using Ora2Pg.\r\nExperience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and cloud environments such as Azure.\r\nExperience with data warehouses and Oracle databases.\r\nPrior federal consulting experience is a plus.\r\nBenefits\r\nHealth, Dental, and Vision coverage.\r\nLife Insurance.\r\n401(k) plan.\r\nFlexible Spending Account (Health, Dependent Care, and Commuter).\r\nPaid Time Off and observance of State/Federal Holidays.\r\nContact Government Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
