This senior-level position is responsible for Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, and hybrid infrastructure operations across on-premise and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise Windows environments with demonstrated cloud competencies and the ability to mentor junior staff.\n\nWindows Server & Infrastructure Administration\nAdminister and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance monitoring\nManage Active Directory (AD), including user/group administration, Group Policy (GPO), and access controls\nPerform system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Windows-based infrastructure\nSupport integration of Windows environments with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AD, hybrid identity)\nProvide Systems Administration support for virtualization platforms such as VMware\nCloud & Hybrid Operations\nSupport enterprise systems across on-premise and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS)\nProvision servers and services with Terraform/Ansible toolchain\nSupport monitoring resources across cloud domains in Azure and AWS\nSupport Security Compliance/POAM activities\nScripting, Automation & Maintenance\nRun reports and health checks using scripting technologies (PowerShell and/or Python)\nPerform administrative duties involving backup platforms\nSupport network hardware/software, vulnerability, service pack, and security bulletins\nDocumentation & Collaboration\nReview, update, and maintain internal wikis and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and usability\nIdentify documentation gaps and proactively enhance knowledge resources for the team\nManage and resolve technical requests through formal ticketing systems\nCollaborate with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and meet operational goals\nFollow established SOPs, change management, and governance processes to maintain system stability\nContinuously seek opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and service delivery\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees)\nEight (8) years of relevant experience.\n\nRequired Technical Skills & Competencies\nStrong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration\nExperience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise Windows environments\nFamiliarity with hybrid identity (on-prem AD + Azure AD)\nBasic experience or certification in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar)\nFamiliarity with enterprise ticketing systems and structured IT operations\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to document technical processes clearly and effectively\nProficiency with scripting (PowerShell and/or Python)\nExperience with virtualization platforms (VMware)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise environments\nAdvanced cloud certifications or hands-on cloud administration experience\nFamiliarity with AI tools or automation technologies\nExperience working in federal or highly regulated environments\nSalary: $100K to $115K\nWork Location and Schedule\nPrimary Location: Washington, DC\nSchedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time\nTelework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government\nFAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)\nCompany Profile:\nFounded in 1999 and headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is a leading small business in technology, engineering, and management consulting.
