The ideal candidate will bring technical leadership, hands-on engineering skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive product excellence.\n\"Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time\".\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and development of electrical systems including control panels, wiring harnesses, PCBs, and power distribution units.\nDefine system architecture and electrical specifications for electro/mechanical platforms and upgrades.\nSchematic design, PCB layout, and component selection using tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics or OrCAD.\nEnsure compliance with safety, EMC/EMI, and regulatory standards (e.g., TUV, UL, CE, FCC).\nCollaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability.\nConduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical issues in prototypes and production units.\nManage testing and validation of electrical systems using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers).\nMentor junior engineers and review technical documentation and designs.\nInterface with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies and components.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n3+ years (preferred) experience in electrical design and development, preferably in electromechanical or automation systems.\nProficiency in electrical CAD tools and simulation software.\nStrong understanding of embedded systems, motor control, sensors, and power electronics.\nExperience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., CAN, RS-485, Modbus, SPI).\nExcellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.\n\nWork Environment:\nOffice and lab-based work with occasional travel to manufacturing sites or customer locations.\nHands-on prototyping and testing in a collaborative engineering environment.\n\nCPI is part of Crane NXT\nCrane NXT is a premier industrial technology company that provides proprietary and trusted technology solutions to secure, detect, and authenticate what matters most to its customers.
