{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"066675be3e7121592666d176","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/066675be3e7121592666d176","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/066675be3e7121592666d176","title":"Full Stack Software Engineer (AI Infrastructure)","description":"Laurel, MD\nDescription:\nBytoa is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to support our AI infrastructure team.\n\nIn this role, you’ll help build and maintain the platform that provides the foundation for the customer’s AI capabilities, focusing on inference services while supporting the broader ecosystem of AI-enabled applications.\n\nThis role is intended for experienced engineers who can independently design, implement, and operate scalable AI infrastructure components.\nSalary range: $200,000-$220,000\n\nDisclaimer:\nSalary for this position, along with additional compensation options, will be determined on an individual basis following the interview process, considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education/certifications, contract specifications, market conditions, etc.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and optimize infrastructure for AI model inference at scale.\nSupport the development and maintenance of production AI services and applications, including retrieval augmented generation (RAG), autonomous agents, and emerging technologies.\nNavigate ambiguity and define solutions for underspecified systems and requirements.\nDrive adoption of new technologies and practices across engineering teams.\nImplement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for AI services.\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC principles.\nEnsure high availability, reliability, and performance of AI platform components.\nContribute to security best practices for AI systems and data.\nProvide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers.\nSkills Requirements:\nProven experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.\nExperience with high-volume web application architecture and performance optimization.\nStrong background in systems integration across diverse technologies and platforms.\nHands-on experience with cloud engineering in AWS.\nProficiency with Kubernetes administration and deployment patterns.\nStrong Python programming skills.\nExperience implementing observability solutions (APM, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.\nStrong change management and organizational influence skills.\nAbility to thrive in ambiguous environments and create structure where needed.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nNice to Haves:\nExperience with AI inference serving technologies (vLLM, LiteLLM, etc.).\nPrevious experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain).\nKnowledge of vector databases and embedding systems.\nExperience with high-performance computing or distributed systems.\nExperience Requirement:\n8 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.\nClearance Requirement:\nActive TS/SCI with a polygraph\nReferrals & Inquiries\nDo you know a cleared professional seeking to advance their career?
