The organization is seeking an experienced IP Docketing Specialist to support its intellectual property practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to join an established team while working in a flexible remote or hybrid environment.Job Description:The IP Docketing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate intellectual property records and ensuring important trademark deadlines are properly tracked and managed. This individual will work closely with senior docketing professionals, attorneys, and paralegals to support domestic and international trademark matters.The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment. Candidates with WebTMS experience are strongly preferred, particularly those who can quickly step into an existing docketing system and contribute with minimal training.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update IP docketing databases, calendars, and records.Monitor trademark filing deadlines, renewals, office actions, and other critical dates.Assist with domestic and international trademark filings and related documentation.Research information through the USPTO, TTAB, and international trademark office systems.Create and distribute docket reports for attorneys, paralegals, and other legal team members.Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding approaching deadlines and outstanding docket items.Review incoming correspondence and electronic filings to determine appropriate docketing actions.Help monitor third-party trademark applications and related intellectual property activity.Support improvements to docketing processes, systems, and workflows.Maintain a high level of accuracy and ensure established docketing procedures are consistently followed.Act as a knowledgeable resource for the legal team on IP docketing-related questions.Partner with the Senior IP Docketing Specialist and other members of the legal support team as needed.Qualifications:3–5+ years of experience in IP docketing, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal environment.Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark prosecution procedures.Experience working with electronic trademark databases and filing systems.WebTMS experience strongly preferred.Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal support staff.Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.Additional Details:Position is available on a remote or hybrid basis.Hybrid employees may work from one of several California office locations.Remote employees must be able to work Pacific Time hours.The client is looking for someone who can get up to speed quickly and take ownership of their responsibilities.WebTMS experience is a significant advantage.Perks:Remote or hybrid flexibilityCompetitive salary with flexibility based on experienceWork alongside experienced IP professionalsOpportunity to support a sophisticated intellectual property practiceCollaborative and professional work environmentFull benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
