In this role, you will work collaboratively to design and deliver scalable software solutions that enhance factory automation, optimize manufacturing processes, and integrate advanced production technologies. These solutions are critical to optimizing Intel's semiconductor manufacturing processes and achieving leadership in advanced packaging technologies.\n\nThis role integrates elements of software development, factory automation, optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, tailored for Intel's advanced semiconductor manufacturing environment.\n\nOn-site is required. Remote work model is not supported.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and Development: Develop, test, and maintain factory automation systems, including manufacturing execution systems (MES), production activity control (PAC), and scheduling algorithms.\nOptimization and Integration: Analyze, prototype, and enhance automation solutions that improve factory performance, output, and cycle time while meeting environmental constraints.\nCollaboration and Innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams (automation engineers, manufacturing planners, industrial engineers) to create and implement data-driven solutions using advanced technologies such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and optimization algorithms.\nDocumentation and Support: Provide input to technical documentation, create product manuals, and support post-deployment systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability.\nAdapt and prioritize work based on the changing business needs.\n\nThe candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:\nProblem-solving: Strong analytical skills to address complex manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions.\nCollaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.\nAdaptability: Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and self-motivated to drive solutions.\nAttention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and ensure accurate execution.\nWillingness to quickly learn and master various facets of Intel's business to deliver value-driven solutions.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.\nWhat we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):\nMaster's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nUS Citizenship required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.\n3+ years of experience in software development, design, and testing, with a focus on factory automation or similar mission-critical systems (such as web service development, cloud application development).\n3+ years’ experience in C# and .NET.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years’ experience.\nActive US Government Security Clearance.\nKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, factory automation, manufacturing execution planning, production control, and dispatching systems.\nExperience with Agile methodologies and automated testing and deployment processes.\nHands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) and graphical user interface (GUI) development, particularly using Applied Materials' Advanced Productivity Family (APF and FAB300).\nExperience with machine learning, data mining, and advanced optimization tools like CPLEX Optimization Studio.\nPython programming skills\nStrong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production environments.\nExperience with at least two of the following:\nRDBMS Systems (Oracle, MS-SQL, Postgres etc.)\nSoftware/Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)\nDevOps Practices\nSystem architecture definition and documentation\nGeneral knowledge of systems engineering (e.g., Windows, SAN, Firewalls, WAN, BCP, Databases).\n\nRequirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.\n\nBenefits at Intel\nOur total rewards package goes above and beyond just a paycheck.
