Aerospace experience is a plus.\nJob Description:\n\nProvides for the independent design, development and implementation of engineering products, methods or processes on complete projects or systems, including complex projects of a technical nature.\nThis position works independently on moderately complex technical projects while assisting on larger very complex projects of a technical nature.\nConducts analysis and research to evaluate alternate concepts and approaches for applicability in design and manufacture.\nConducts verification and validation testing and/or analysis and recommends improvements in testing equipment and techniques.\nWorking Procedure:\n\nResponsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of engineering processes, methods, and products.\nWorks independently under light technical oversight of engineering supervisors and/or senior engineers on projects or subsystems of a technical nature.\nPrepare major complex portions of written documentation in a team environment to include engineering drawings, engineering standards, engineering specifications, technical proposals, technical manuals, disclosures, and scientific discoveries.\nAssist in the formulation of systems requirements.\nWorks as part of integrated product teams with other cross functional professional employees in the execution of engineering functions.\nWill function as team leader for appropriate tasks.\nReceives guidance from, and interfaces with, peers, senior engineers, and other professional employees in the execution of engineering functions.\nProvide technical leadership within the section for recognized discipline.\nProvides guidance to junior engineers and Integrated Product Team members.\nPlan and organize the responsibilities for a broad spectrum of assignments with occasional guidance.\nDefines and analyzes the technical requirements for assigned engineering tasks.\nGenerates, modifies, and upgrades mathematical models to predict design performance.\nUse commercial and proprietary simulation tools in developing and evaluating designs.\nAcquires information from all relevant sources, including industry and governments standards, handbooks, textbooks, and reference manuals.\nAssists in the development and maintenance of design guidelines and practices.\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.\nFollows industry and internal design guidelines and methodologies.\nAnalyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution to meet design requirements.\nConducts and supports internal and customer design reviews.\nGenerate reports, white papers, and technical memoranda.\nPerform research and analysis of technical issues to develop solutions to meet design objectives.\nWorks to complete tasks within cost and schedule constraints.\nProvides status and feedback on task progress.\nProvide feedback and make recommendations to improve designs and reduce costs and/or schedule.\nConducts testing, develops prototype to validate designs.\nDocuments the design development.\nSupport multiple assignments on different design product teams.\nUse the infrastructure to accomplish objectives.\nSupport production, testing, and field operations in improving designs.\nApply scientific principles, tools, and techniques to achieve practical end results.\nTools are objective in nature utilizing quantitative or analytical techniques.\nMaintain engineering skills consistent with advances in technology.\nSupport multiple assignments of increasing responsibility.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nEducation:\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, in a related discipline.\nExperience Requirement:\n\nMinimum of eight years of engineering experience.
