However, the role is expected to demonstrate leadership through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support of team members.\n\n*Required Competencies*\n\n* Analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail and efficiency\n* Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously\n* Effective verbal and written communication skills\n* Ability to work independently and within a team environment\n* Strong interpersonal skills\n* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately\n* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement\n\n*Technical Skills and Knowledge*\n\n* Basic understanding of internal combustion engines and related systems\n* Ability to learn dynamometer test cell operation\n* Familiarity or ability to learn diagnostic and measurement equipment:\n* - Oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes- Signal generators, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers\n* Understanding of mechanical measurement devices (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)\n* Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation\n* Basic knowledge of electrical systems including sensors, actuators, and controls\n* Familiarity with wiring, soldering, and fabrication techniques\n* Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc.)\n* Basic welding and fabrication knowledge\n* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and test-related software systems*Physical Requirements*\n* Ability to perform heavy work:\n* - Up to 100 lbs occasionally- Up to 50 lbs frequently- Up to 20 lbs constantlyReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\n* *Work Environment*\n\nWork is performed in a laboratory and shop environment with exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, heat, and moving components.
