Academic, social, employment, and functional skills are taught to each student as driven by their Individual Educational Plan (IEP), needs, and interests.\nWho We Are Looking For:\nA Behavior Specialist, who embraces our mission of “strengthening the well-being of people with disabilities and their families through innovative supports.”\nThe Successful candidate will enjoy working in a special education school environment, where passion and creativity rule to provide children with disabilities, like autism, a robust learning experience.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nActs as a primary resource to staff in understanding disabilities and positive behavioral support.\nIn collaboration with classroom teams, performs direct observation of students for behavioral assessments and development, conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior intervention plans, including the use of PFA/SBT procedures\nSupervises and evaluates the implementation and effectiveness of behavioral intervention using treatment fidelity measures.\nParticipates in annual reviews and meetings on student’s progress.
