CADD Technician II

We are currently seeking a CADD Technician II to support a local municipal client; this position is not open to remote candidates. Position Summary Under general supervision, the CADD Technician II performs routine to moderately complex drafting and technical support tasks for municipal civil engineering projects. Work includes preparing construction drawings, updating mapping information, performing technical research, and supporting engineering staff with field and office tasks. Tier placement (Tech I or Tech II) will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare drawings for collection system, green street, and surface water restoration projects using Autodesk Civil 3D and other CAD tools. Update maps with asbuilt information and ensure accuracy across mapping files. Plan and organize drafting, mapping, and technical records. Research, interpret, and verify data; resolve conflicting information by reviewing records, maps, and conducting field visits as needed. Review engineering surveys, reports, and records to support creation of construction drawings. Assist engineers with technical tasks such as field inspections, research and documentation, basic calculations. Perform additional Technician IIlevel duties as assigned. Required & Preferred Skills Knowledge of: Civil engineering drafting terminology, practices, and standards. Autodesk Civil 3D (required) Revit (required) CAD and GIS software Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat Pro Bluebeam Current drafting and modeling procedures Ability to: Pass a background check. Work efficiently with CAD applications and digital collaboration tools (MS Teams, Bluebeam, etc.). Perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy. Follow written and verbal instructions precisely. Conduct basic engineering computations. Prepare maps, plans, and technical records. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, municipal staff, and consultants.
