US Payroll SpecialistLocation: Malvern, PA 19355 (Remote - preference for candidates near Gypsum sites) Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) Pay Rate: $32.00/hr Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented US Payroll Specialist to support North America payroll operations. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This is a remote position, with preference given to candidates located near manufacturing sites. The role also supports general accounting activities and plays a key role in payroll system integrations and audits. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess U.S. payroll (hourly and salaried) accurately and on timePerform payroll calculations including retroactive pay, adjustments, and off-cycle paymentsEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and payroll regulationsRespond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and calculationsMaintain and validate payroll data, HRIS updates, and master file changesSupport payroll audits and ensure documentation accuracyPerform monthly payroll-related general ledger reconciliationsCollaborate with HR, Finance, and cross-functional teamsWork across multiple systems and data integrationsAssist with system updates, including Workday implementation (if extended)Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications2-5 years of payroll experience (U.S. payroll required)UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll experience - REQUIREDAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tablesAbility to convert documents (Excel/Word) into PDF formatStrong understanding of payroll processes and general accounting principlesExperience working with multiple systems and system integrationsStrong math, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to multi-task and work independently Preferred QualificationsExperience with PeopleSoft Payroll or similar systemsExposure to Workday (especially helpful due to system implementation)Knowledge of SAP General LedgerExperience with U.S. payroll taxation and complianceBackground in a manufacturing environment Work EnvironmentFully remote rolePreference for candidates near manufacturing facilitiesStandard business hours with occasional flexibility as needed Additional NotesThis position is covering a leave of absencePotential for extension based on business needsExperience with UKG and Excel (pivot tables) is critical for success in this role
