BD Engineering is a smaller, collaborative engineering firm looking for a Mid-Senior Level Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys having a meaningful impact on projects, working directly with clients and contractors, and being part of a team where your ideas and expertise matter. We are especially interested in candidates with experience supporting manufacturing environments, including food and beverage operations. What You'll Do Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD Design and optimize electrical systems using engineering calculations and design software Interpret and implement designs from technical drawings and project specifications Apply strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable fire, building, and safety codes Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations Estimate materials, labor, and construction costs to support project planning and budgeting Work directly with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal team members Participate in client presentations, project discussions, and company meetings Prepare and maintain technical documentation and project records Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines Stay current on electrical engineering advances, codes, technologies, and industry best practices Pitch in where needed and take on a variety of responsibilities as part of a hands-on team What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field Mid-to-senior level electrical engineering experience Strong knowledge and practical application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD Experience designing electrical systems and performing engineering calculations Ability to read and develop technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Strong problem-solving and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills A team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate and contribute wherever needed Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a smaller company environment Desire to continue learning and growing professionally Preferred Experience Engineering experience within manufacturing environments Food and beverage manufacturing experience Knowledge of Lean Construction principles Six Sigma knowledge, training, or certification Experience working directly with contractors and customers Compensation & Benefits BD Engineering offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: $90,000–$125,000 annual salary, depending on experience Medical and Dental insurance stipend Short-Term Disability (STD) Long-Term Disability (LTD) 401(k) Paid holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Education assistance and professional development opportunities Grow With Us At BD Engineering, you won't be just another person in a large organization.
