WFH is eligible for Texas residents.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation/Certification:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.\nCertifications in ITILv4, PMP, and Microsoft Development Stack preferred.\nSpecial Knowledge/Skills:\nDemonstrated experience in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining innovative and successful technical applications/systems\nKnowledge and experience using Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.\nKnowledge and experience developing in and supporting third-party configurable applications\nKnowledge and experience with scripting languages and flat file processing concepts\nKnowledge and experience integrating disparate systems and platforms\nKnowledge and experience with source control using TFS, Git, or related technology\nSkill in programming using .NET Framework\nSkill in web development using ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript\nSkill in development using C#, SQL, MVC, WPF, Entity Framework, ADO.Net\nSkill in building/integrating RESTful API/.Net Web Services\nExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills\nAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships.\nAbility to handle multiple and changing priorities efficiently and effectively.\nExperience:\nFive years of experience as an Applications Developer supporting in-house and third-party applications.\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:\nConsult with systems users and key stakeholders to gather requirements and determine functional specifications.\nWork with external vendors to ensure efficient implementation of applications and software products for systems.\nDevelop, enhance, code, test, debug, document, and implement complex data integration services for business solutions.\nCollaborate with analysts, developers, vendors, and business lines to troubleshoot, test, and plan new API applications and update existing codes as needed.\nPerform data migration/integration activities, including file data mapping, transformation, and translation.\nCreate tables, triggers, and stored procedures in SQL Server databases.\nWrite programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of district applications as necessary.\nAdhere to policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure standardization, performance, and secure solutions.\nContinuously improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes.\nMaintain up-to-date documentation, including diagrams, on all applications development, database systems, integration services, and connectivity.\nMaintain knowledge of application development technologies, methodologies, and standards. Acquire and effectively apply new technical skills as driven by business need and/or technology advancements.\nDemonstrates a strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others.\nEstablishes and maintains a high level of customer trust and confidence in the team’s knowledge of and concern for educational and business needs.\nFollow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD\nFollow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor\nPerform special projects, after-hours support and upgrades, and other duties as assigned.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nMental Demands:\nAbility to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate district\nfunctions; maintain emotional control under stress.\nPhysical Demands/Environmental Factors:\nFrequent districtwide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Work with frequent interruptions. Frequent\nstanding, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
