This initiative is crucial for minimizing downtime, boosting efficiency, and maintaining our competitive edge. We're seeking dedicated professionals to join our Reliability Program Coordination Team and help us drive significant improvements in asset reliability.\nThis position is responsible for managing the Asset Reliability Management Program (ARMP) strategies to maintain steel producing equipment and facilities, minimizing downtime, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Preventative Maintenance Engineer will report to the Corporate Preventative Maintenance Engineer.\n\nResponsibilities\nDrive ARMP initiatives to include Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tracking, autonomous maintenance, RCA, preventative maintenance, and outage scheduling.\nManage CMMS Coordinator and Reliability Engineer\nMaintain maintenance-focused KPIs for the facility.\nManage special initiative projects under the direction of the Corporate Preventative Maintenance Engineer.\nPeriodically travel to other Universal sites to become knowledgeable in the performance of preventative maintenance activities and develop best practices.\nEnsure that preventative maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.\nCreate, distribute, and update guidance documents for preventative maintenance practices\n\nSkills\nTechnical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.\nProblem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.\nCommunication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.\nOrganizational Skills: Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.\nTeamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with others.\nAttention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in maintenance tasks and record-keeping.\nSafety Awareness: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures.\nExperience: Prior experience in a maintenance or engineering role with specific steel industry experience.\n\nProfile\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical Engineer, or any equivalent title.\n5+ years heavy industrial or manufacturing – Steel making experience preferred.\nReliability centered maintenance experience.\nKnowledge of IBM Maximo EAM platform is a strong plus.\n\nCompensation: $100,000-120,000 plus benefits.\nWhy Universal?\nUniversal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is a dynamic, high-performance manufacturer of advanced specialty steel products and alloys.
