This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service and strong team leadership.BENEFITS:Medical, dental, vision, and short-term disability insurance401(k) with company supportPaid time offEmployee discounts (retail, dining, entertainment)Employee Assistance Program (EAP): counseling, financial, legal, and wellness supportFocus on work-life balance and employee well-beingKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Team Leadership & SupervisionSupervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift LeadsManage performance, including coaching and corrective actions when neededAssist with hiring, training, and ongoing development of staffEnsure proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeepingSecurity OperationsOversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with post orders and company policiesConduct site patrols and inspections to maintain safety standardsEnsure reports, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and on timeRespond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; coordinate with local authorities as neededSafety & Systems ManagementMonitor and support the use of security systems (CCTV, alarms, fire panels, access control, elevators)Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are maintained and functioning properlyMaintain knowledge of emergency procedures and enforce safety protocolsClient & CommunicationBuild strong relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police/fire departmentsCommunicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding team and site performanceProvide excellent customer service through professional interactions with all visitorsQUALIFICATIONS:RequiredPrior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilitiesKnowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practicesAbility to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certificationsStrong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situationsSkills & CompetenciesProven leadership and team management skillsStrong customer service mindsetAbility to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectivelyComfortable using security systems and standard office equipmentReliable, adaptable, and detail-orientedStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse groupsWork EnvironmentThis is a hands-on leadership role requiring time spent both supervising staff and actively participating in security operations, including patrols and incident response.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:This role requires professionalism, reliability, and adherence to all company policies and safety standards.
