This contract role will serve as the bridge between accounting, finance, and technology teams while helping drive the successful implementation and optimization of Sage Intacct.The ideal candidate combines strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge with hands-on ERP implementation experience. This is not a purely technical systems role—we are looking for someone who understands how accounting processes, financial reporting, internal controls, and organizational workflows translate into an ERP environment.This position will be highly visible within the organization and will work closely with finance leadership, operational stakeholders, consultants, and implementation partners throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead accounting and finance workstreams during a Sage Intacct implementation project.Partner with stakeholders to evaluate current-state processes and design future-state workflows.Define chart of accounts structures, dimensions, entities, reporting hierarchies, and financial reporting requirements.Coordinate requirements gathering sessions with accounting, finance, and operational teams.Support system configuration decisions to ensure alignment with accounting best practices and business needs.Review and validate financial reporting outputs, dashboards, and management reporting structures.Assist with data migration planning, testing, validation, and reconciliation activities.Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) plans.Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend leading practices.Collaborate with implementation partners and internal project teams to keep deliverables on track.Support end-user training and change management efforts.Troubleshoot implementation issues and help drive solutions through go-live and post-implementation stabilization.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting.Prior leadership experience supporting or leading at least one full-cycle Sage Intacct implementation from planning through go-live.Experience serving as a project lead, workstream lead, ERP manager, controller, accounting manager, finance manager, consultant, or similar role during implementation efforts.Ability to translate business and accounting requirements into ERP solutions.Experience with system testing, process documentation, and user training.Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Preferred ExperienceCPA or equivalent accounting background.Multiple ERP implementations or system conversion projects.Experience with financial consolidations, multi-entity environments, budgeting, planning, or reporting solutions.Background working with implementation partners or consulting firms.Experience improving month-end close processes and management reporting through technology.What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will be a hands-on accounting and finance professional who understands both the technical and operational sides of an ERP implementation.
