This is a hands-on position that combines daily wheelchair and stretcher transportation with driver supervision and fleet oversight.\n\nThe Driver/Supervisor will help ensure drivers follow company policies and daily vehicle inspection requirements, monitor vehicle cleanliness and condition, and oversee routine fleet maintenance and service needs. The position will also assist with driver accountability, documentation, equipment care, and maintaining Trinsit’s safety and service standards.\n\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable taking responsibility for both *drivers and vehicles* while working closely with management.\n\n*Experience*\n\n* Prior experience as an Emergency Medical Technician\n* *Certification as an EMT from an accredited program is required.*\n* Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) techniques\n* Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.\n* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.\n* Able to work independently and make sound decisions.\n* Must pass required background and driving-record checks\n* Experience monitoring vehicle maintenance or fleet operations is a strong plus.\n* Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.\n* Able to recognize basic vehicle safety and maintenance concerns.\n* Reliable, punctual, responsible, and safety-focused.\n* Strong communication and leadership skills.\n* Ability to supervise drivers and enforce company standards.\n* Comfortable conducting vehicle inspections and documenting findings.\n* Wheelchair/stretcher transportation experience preferred; training provided.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Drive and provide safe, professional wheelchair and stretcher transportation.\n* Supervise and support Trinsit drivers.\n* Reinforce completion of required *daily vehicle inspections*.\n* Conduct *weekly fleet and vehicle inspections*.\n* Monitor vehicle cleanliness and overall condition.\n* Monitor the *fleet maintenance schedule*, including oil changes, tires, brakes, routine service, and inspections.\n* Identify mechanical, safety, or maintenance concerns and report them promptly.\n* Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs with management and approved service providers.\n* Follow up to ensure maintenance issues are resolved before vehicles return to service when necessary.\n* Maintain accurate vehicle inspection, maintenance, and service records.\n* Ensure drivers report vehicle problems promptly.\n* Reinforce proper care and use of company vehicles and wheelchair/stretcher equipment.\n* Address driver performance, safety, cleanliness, and vehicle-care issues.\n* Report accidents, incidents, and significant vehicle problems to management.\n* Cover driver shifts when needed.\n* Perform other duties related to fleet, driver, and vehicle operations.\n\n*What We’re Looking For*\n\nWe need someone who can *lead by example*.
