This is a hybrid role - 2 days a week in office. Responsibilities:\r\nParticipates in a team-based, Agile development environment\r\nAdheres to established Client best practices, standards and agreed upon design patterns for data and reporting application development and support\r\nAnalyzes and understands business users' requirements, clarifying inconsistencies, conflicts, or ambiguities, to effectively develop solutions that meet business needs\r\nResponsible for the design, development, test, release, maintenance, and technical support of custom data applications such as data pipelines/ETLs/data processing/APIs\r\nResponsible for the design, development, test, release, maintenance, and technical support of data analysis reports and dashboards using Power BI and paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder or SSRS\r\nPerforms data modelling and database design for data and reporting applications as well as other applications as needed\r\nPerforms analysis, design and implementation of data migration as needed\r\nParticipates in design/code reviews\r\nPerforms SQL Server database administration in the development environment\r\nDocuments data and reporting application implementations, configurations, and support requirements as needed\r\nCreates deployment packages and instructions for releasing data and reporting applications across environments\r\nEvaluates techniques and design patterns and makes recommendations that will improve solution delivery\r\nCorrects reported incidents on data and reporting applications and releases fixes through the change control processes\r\nCreates and maintains application runbooks on the supported data and reporting applications\r\nAdministers Power BI Online environment including managing security, data gateways, and workspaces\r\nParticipates in the development and management of governance and frameworks for managing data\r\nRequirements\r\nA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is preferred\r\n5 years of experience in the solution development life cycle for developing and maintaining data processing and reporting applications\r\nA combination of experience and education may be considered for a well-qualified candidate\r\nStrong knowledge of professional software engineering practices, software quality assurance practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations\r\nWorking knowledge of waterfall and Agile methodologies\r\nKnowledgeable in data integration and/or data migration design and implementation, data management principles and best practices, and the architecture and design of Business Intelligence solutions\r\nKnowledge of new and emerging technologies related to data management such as data catalog, data lineage, and data quality management\r\nFamiliar with the design and application of software design pattern\r\nFamiliar with ITIL for IT Service Management\r\nWell versed in developing data models and reports with Power BI and Power BI Report Builder\r\nSkilled in scripting using Python and Power Shell\r\nSkilled in performing system analysis and design\r\nProficient in developing solutions using SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored procedures, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Master Data Services, SSIS, and SSRS\r\nProficient in performing system and/or integration testing\r\nProficient in using Azure DevOps to manage CI/CD pipelines and artifacts\r\nProficient in source code management using GitHub\r\nCompetent in planning and managing software quality assurance activities throughout the SDLC to ensure security, reliability, efficiency, and maintainability\r\nThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
