In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.\n\nPosition Required Skills:\n\nExperience using the Linux CLI\nExperience developing scripts using Bash/Python\nExperience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment\nGeneral technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components\nExperience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution\nFamiliarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data\nExperience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution\nExperience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments\nExperience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible\nExperience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures\nExperience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker\nSecurity +\nProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems\nManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems\nProvide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems\nProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.\nProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers\nOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning\nProvide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems\nProvide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets\nProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process\nConfigure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance\nSupport the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware\nPossess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)\nAnalyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration\n\nPosition Desired Skills:\n\nExperience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes\nExperience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS\nExperience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence\n\nSA3 Qualifications:\n\nFifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.\n\nBachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.\n\nFive (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\n\nSalary Range: $206k-$252k (Annually)\n\nThe range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
