This role will be responsible for overseeing project financials, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting across active development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in real estate or development accounting, a solid understanding of project controls, and hands-on experience with Yardi. This position is 100% onsite and requires someone who can step in quickly and provide immediate value.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee financial management and reporting for active real estate development projectsPrepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and budget-to-actual reportingTrack project costs, commitments, change orders, contracts, and capital expendituresPartner with development managers, project teams, and accounting to review project financial performance and riskPerform variance analysis and provide insights on cost overruns, budget exposure, and forecast changesSupport draw requests, lender reporting, and project funding documentation as neededReview and reconcile invoices, accruals, and development-related expendituresAssist with month-end close and project-level financial reportingMaintain accurate project financial data and reporting in YardiHelp strengthen project controls, reporting processes, and financial documentation during the interim engagementSupport audit preparation and respond to requests for project-related financial informationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field5+ years of experience in project accounting, project controls, or finance within real estate development, construction, or related industriesHands-on experience with YardiStrong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, job cost tracking, and project financial reportingExperience supporting development projects, capital projects, or construction-related accounting workflowsAdvanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, onsite environmentAvailable to work 100% onsite in MiamiPreferred QualificationsExperience with construction draws, lender reporting, and capital project accountingPrior interim, contract, or consulting experienceCPA or other relevant certification is a plusIdeal CandidateAble to start quickly and ramp up with minimal trainingComfortable working closely with finance, accounting, and development stakeholdersDetail-oriented and proactive in identifying reporting or cost issuesBrings a hands-on, solutions-focused approach to project financial managementWe kindly request no outreach from third-party staffing firms, recruiting agencies, or candidate brokers.
