In this role, you will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, and other industrial control systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.\nThe ideal candidate has a strong background in automation, electrical systems, and industrial controls, with experience in designing and integrating hardware and software solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and safety of our control systems while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.\nThe Control Engineer will report to our Director of Advanced Technology and will work onsite 5 days a week out of our office in Somerset, NJ.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, program, and maintain PLCs and HMI systems for automation control.\nDesign and integrate robotic systems to improve manufacturing efficiency.\nImplement and oversee vision systems for quality control and defect detection.\nEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for automated systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime.\n\nRequirements:\n3+ years of expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI design.\n3+ years of experience with robotic systems (e.g., ABB, Fanuc) and vision systems (Cognex, Keyence).\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nKnowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).\nUnderstanding of electrical systems and schematics.\nPython and/or C++ programming knowledge is an advantage\n\nPlease note: CompoSecure does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters.
