By focusing its parent company's passion and expertise within the U.S. market, Thea Pharma's goal is to deliver uncompromising care that enables all stakeholders to envision the future of ophthalmic treatment with eyes wide open.POSITION SUMMARYThe position of Associate Director, Commercial Data and Analytics US is a dynamic member of Thea Pharma, Inc. Insights and Analytics team. This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and is someone who can independently frame business questions, oversee data integration efforts, conduct deep root cause analysis, and effectively communicate findings to business leads.This individual will be responsible for the acquisition, integration, and governance of all commercial data assets to enable strategic analytics. This position will lead the development of business intelligence tools to support home office and field-based reporting solutions. This is a business role and this individual will be required to define their own requirements and translate business needs to technical solutions. This role reports to the VP, Insights and Analytics of Thea Pharma Inc.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCommercial Analytics and ReportingOwn the design, evolution, and governance of all commercial performance reporting across Sales, Marketing, and Market AccessEstablish and maintain a standardized reporting cadence (weekly, monthly, quarterly) aligned to commercial leadership needsEnsure reporting moves beyond metric display to include interpretation, trend analysis, and performance contextServe as the single point of accountability for data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across all distributed reports and dashboardsDefine report requirements in partnership with stakeholders and translate them into clear technical specifications for vendorsPartner with commercial leadership to align on metric definitions, targets, and performance thresholdsSupport the development and ongoing refinement of a comprehensive commercial KPI framework aligned to brand strategy and corporate objectivesDefine leading and lagging indicators to measure launch performance, market penetration, access expansion, promotional effectiveness, and field executionCommercial Data WarehousingResponsible for managing end-to-end integration of data into Thea's Commercial Data Warehouse from acquisition to reporting including prescription data, claims, shipments, managed care information, OTC data, and field activityAct as business lead responsible for translating business challenges into reports, analyses, and technical solutions including field force alignments, incentive compensation, patient HUBs, market access dataUnderstand the principles of analytic data marts to enable advanced analytics through outsourced technical service providerOrganize data to feed enterprise-wide business intelligence systems for self-service analytics and data visualizationManage third party vendors to acquire data and define format for data feedsImplement business intelligence tools (PowerBI) to display data for commercial leadership and field teams in a cohesive fashionDesign dashboards and reports to support tracking of KPIs and sales trendsLead all new dashboard rollouts and communication with commercial stakeholders including development of training materials and training exercises. Triage and prioritize requests for dashboard enhancementsPartner with commercial stakeholders to understand business needs in order to develop user friendly dashboards to support tracking of KPIs across brands and business unitsData GovernanceOwn Data Quality Management (DQM) process to ensure timely, accurate, and complete data is delivered to relevant stakeholdersLead new data acquisition efforts and negotiate with third parties to access data at reasonable costsDefine business requirements and maintain documentation for business rules and data warehouse processesDefine governance plan and align with commercial leadership on key metrics and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSBA or BS degree (MS in technical discipline or other advanced degree a plus)6-8 years of experience in commercial analytics and commercial data management roles in a pharma/biotech companyProficiency in Excel is requiredHands-on experience with SQL is required, but this is not a hands-on data-engineering positionHands-on experience with Power BI is a mustDemonstrated ability to present to leadership and large field sales teamsProject management skills with ability to oversee multiple large scale technical projects and deliver on budget and on timeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCapability to connect data to the overarching business questions, and can understand the link between brand strategy and data integration effortsProficient at PowerPoint for presentationsTravel requirement: Approximately 10% including overnightsPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position requires prolonged sitting. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
