Security analysts play a\r\ncrucial role in protecting sensitive information and ensuring the security of systems and networks. Along\r\nwith their technical expertise, they must uphold high ethical standards to maintain trust and integrity\r\nwithin the organization. This role will be empowered to break down silos and help cybersecurity objectives\r\nand compliance. This technical role requires analytical problem-solving skills and a continuous learning\r\nmindset. This position will work closely with all areas of Collegis and its institutional partners.\r\nApplicants must currently live in one of the following states: Washington (WA), Oregon (OR), Nevada (NV), or Idaho (ID). Candidates residing outside of these states will not be considered for this role.\r\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:\r\nCommunication and Collaboration\r\nInterfacing with various stakeholders such as IT peers, leadership, and partners to design and improve cybersecurity.\r\nCollaborating with departmental leaders to manage security ownership and maintain organizational security posture.\r\nInvestigating alerts, anomalies, and security incidents.\r\nSecurity Assessment and Risk Management\r\nConducting risk assessments on environments, systems, and applications.\r\nMaintaining and utilizing security monitoring and vulnerability management tools.\r\nEnacting security improvements based on best practices, compliance, and risk.\r\nStaying updated on the current threat landscape.\r\nSecurity Awareness and Policy Enforcement\r\nDeveloping security awareness materials for employees and customers.\r\nAdhering to and enforcing information security policies.\r\nReducing the risk of data misuse through data stewardship.\r\nAdditional Responsibilities\r\nReviewing high-level design documents and SOC 2 audit reports.\r\nManaging security ownership and process change.\r\nDriving resolution of escalated security issues or escalating them further.\r\nActing as a data steward for applications being administered.\r\nEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\r\n5+ or more years of cybersecurity related experience in security analysis, incident response, or vulnerability management. Experience with specific security tools and technologies is often preferred.\r\nKnowledge of information security standards and best practices.\r\nGood knowledge of associated regulatory compliance requirements for institutions.\r\nExpert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.\r\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to respond to security incidents.\r\nRequirements\r\nEDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES:\r\nBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science\r\nSecurity-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, EC-Council Certified Hacker, or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)) are desirable\r\nRemote/Hybrid Policy:\r\nThis role offers the flexibility of a fully remote environment.
