Sr. Java Software Engineer

Description: The individual will be executing software development and programming primarily in Java with some C++, in a team environment potentially supporting multiple projects or task orders supporting the maintenance, modernization and capability upgrades to multiple software products developed and sustained by this program. Collaborate closely with project management, systems engineers, systems integration and test engineers as well as fellow software engineers. The individual will contribute to achieving multiple project objectives utilizing technical skills, implementing industry best practices, and collaborating with colleagues, contractors, and customers. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to assist with managing builds, deployments, SCM documentation, and configuration resolutions for multiple integrated applications during software release cycles for development, test, and production environments. Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph clearance is required US Citizenship is required Basic Qualifications: Strong understanding of Java Basic understanding of C++ Familiarity with Agile Development (Scrum or other variants) Team oriented Version control, change tracking, artifact management, automation, and auditing Strong problem-solving abilities Experience with Atlassian development tools Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Bachelor’s degree are typically needed for this role. A Master’s degree in a STEM field may be substituted for 2 years of work experience. Non-degreed professionals with demonstrated skills and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
