{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"050f4a5e84ae37e4fd1a08a6","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/050f4a5e84ae37e4fd1a08a6","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/050f4a5e84ae37e4fd1a08a6","title":"Lease Operator III","description":"Specific Responsibilities\n\nThe Lease Operator III position for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s US Onshore Operations at the company’s Andrews, TX office reporting to the Foreman.\nThis role will be primarily responsible for the following:\n\nProvide lease surveillance of Apache-operated properties to assure that the wells are producing at maximum rates allowed and related equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently\nAccurately measure and report daily production\nPrepare daily and monthly production reports\nInspect facilities routinely for operational safety and environmental compliance\nTake fluid levels and well tests at least twice monthly and calculate downhole pump efficiency\nAccurately gauge production tanks on a daily basis\nReport complete production data in TOW\nTroubleshoot and repair day-to-day operational issues\nKeep accurate seal records\nReview amp readings to ensure pump units are in balance\nEnsure that all contractors and Apache Corporation personnel follow safety requirements and procedures\nDevelop an awareness to look for ways to optimize production\nTrack goals and plans for properties using Scout on a monthly basis\nWitness sales of oil and condensate (LACT meter provings, Crude Transfer tickets)\nCorrect any unsafe conditions or practices immediately upon recognition\nMaintain and use safety equipment as required\nReport any safety violations to immediate supervisor\nEnsure all warning signs are in place and in good condition\nSafeguard all company assets; be aware of any security violations and report immediately to supervisor\nReport any environmental incidents or potential incidents immediately\nReview all repair procedures and methods to ensure that safety hazards and environmental impact are minimized\nRead and be familiar with State Environmental Compliance Regulations\nPerform maintenance on lease equipment\nCheck all surface equipment daily and all pumps for seal leaks and to ensure they are primed and operating properly\nProvide recommendations for increased profitability of lease\nStay abreast of new production techniques\nPrepare written reports on ideas and changes wanted; include reasons why and cost, when possible\nAttend and participate in all safety meetings\nQualifications & Experience\n\nThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n8 years related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent\nMust be proficient in all Microsoft applications and other PC based computer applications\nAbility to anticipate and recognize problems, then develop solutions with minimal coaching\nEnsures accuracy of all reports\nFamiliarity of all lease equipment and functions\nAdequate knowledge to identify downhole problems\nJob is classified as medium physical work\nOccasionally may be required to lift, carry, push or pull 10-100 pounds.\nOccasionally may require squatting, crawling and climbing\nFrequently may require bending, reaching above shoulders, reaching to the floor, reading, writing, working at heights and working around moving machinery\nFrequently exposed to marked changes in weather conditions including temperature and humidity\nContinuously exposed to dust, fumes and gases\nContinuously works independently without supervision and requires quick or important decision making\nMust be able to drive a vehicle and have the ability to wear respirator protection and personal protective equipment, as required\n\nCompetencies\nThe successful candidate should demonstrate and exhibit the following core competencies:\nCommunication: Writes, speaks, and presents information effectively and persuasively across communication setting;\nResults: Pursues work with energy, drive, and results orientation to positively impact Apache's business success;\nCollaboration: Works in partnership with others and encourages different perspectives, while building and maintaining trust; and\nCulture: Willingness and ability to align one's behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of Apache.\nCompany Overview\nOur primary product is energy, and where there is affordable, abundant energy, people are given greater opportunities to elevate their families to higher standards of living.
