This position reports directly to the Engineering Project Manager and is a vital part of the goal to develop automated methods for testing system software.\nEngineering Innovation, Inc. (EII) based in Lafayette, Indiana (just 20 minutes away from Purdue University) has been a premier provider of postal automation since 2006. EII is a small but growing dynamic company looking for highly motivated individuals to join its engineering team. The engineering team is responsible for the design, construction, testing, maintenance, and documentation of world-class postal automation equipment as well as assisting in defining the overall product direction.\n\nWe at Engineering Innovation strive to ensure that our relationship with our students/recent graduates is mutually beneficial and that they walk away from the experience with new-found knowledge and skills they can apply in their careers. We provide individual training for anyone that is hired, so do not hesitate to apply even if you are not 100% qualified.\nThis is a paid (part-time) position.\nPosition responsibilities include:\nTesting\nWrite and Execute Test Cases for testing EII’s equipment and software applications.\nUtilize Virtual Machines (VMs) to Test EII’s software applications.\nDevelopment\nDevelop software applications that will automatically test EII's production software applications.\nDocumentation\nDocument procedures, test results, and troubleshooting steps.\nDocument prototype system set-up and components. (network diagrams, wiring diagrams, etc.)\nDocument software and system component interactions (activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.)\n\nSuccessful candidates will possess:\nAbility to work a minimum of 32 hours/week (Monday – Friday, no nights or weekends).\nExcellent problem-solving skills\nStrong Communication skills\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail\n\nFamiliarity with the following is a plus (but not required):\nPython, C/C#/C++ programming languages\nWindows and Linux (Debian) operating systems\nMicrosoft SQL Server database\nAtlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)\nMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)\nAmazon AWS Cloud Environment\nCompany Description\nEngineering Innovation, Inc.
