Role: Chief Financial OfficerLocation: McLean VA(Hybrid 3x a weekBenefits Provided: generous health, retirement, and insurance plans are standard in such associationsSalary Base: 210-225kChief Financial Officer (CFO)We are partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization to identify a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, operations, and governance.This is not a traditional CFO seat. It is a finance + operations + revenue leadership role with direct ownership across multiple business lines including membership, conferences, marketing, and technology. The individual must operate as a strategic partner to leadership and the Board while driving revenue growth and organizational sustainabilityPlease review carefully before applying. These are strict requirements.Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of experience operating in a senior-level finance leadership role, with demonstrated accountability at the executive and board level.Requirements10+ years of progressive financial leadership experienceMust come industry experience out of: Associations (preferred )Nonprofit organizations (secondaryExperience working with Revenue Size: $10M-$30MExperience managing teams outside of finance (membership, marketing, tech, events)Core ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports: 5 direct reports, Controller, Senior Director of Technology, Senior Director of Membership, Senior Director of Marketing, Conference/Events leadOversees overall financial operations and ensures long-term financial health of the organizationLeads development and management of ~$21M annual operating budget; partners with departments on planning and presents to Board with recommendations to maintain financial stabilityServes as primary liaison to Board Finance and Audit Committee; builds strong executive-level relationshipsDirects conference and events function, ensuring cost-effective execution of large-scale conferences and virtual/in-person eventsReviews and manages contracts related to events and operations to mitigate risk and align with organizational objectivesDrives membership strategy across recruitment, retention, and renewals, ensuring membership remains a core revenue streamPartners cross-functionally with senior leadership to establish membership goals, track performance metrics, and support organizational sustainabilityLeads organization-wide marketing, branding, and promotions strategy aligned with long-term strategic prioritiesCollaborates with executive leadership to optimize service delivery across programs, products, and services to support revenue growthOversees technology strategy and initiatives to improve operational efficiency, business continuity, and overall user/member experienceIdentifies and implements technology solutions to support growth initiatives, including conference systems, infrastructure, and data analyticsAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
