This role requires both power distribution and feed system experience as well as advanced manufacturing equipment and process controls experience.\nEssential Duties\nDesign complex control systems for carpet tile manufacturing processes\nDesign power distribution schematics/systems for manufacturing equipment and processes while following NEC/NFPA codes and regulations\nWork with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve manufacturing equipment and processes\nLead and participate on project teams delivering complex projects up $10MM\nSupport the development and maintenance of engineering, maintenance and operational documentation\nComply with all safety, environmental, and quality system standards, rules and policies\nAdhere to and improve internal engineering standards\nContinue to develop personal knowledge and skills while staying abreast of changes in technology\nTrain and coach junior engineers, engineering technicians, and maintenance\nProvide project progress updates and reports as needed\nEducational Requirements:\nBS in Electrical Engineering or higher\nExperience & Skills\nOver 2 years’ experience as an electrical engineer in the manufacturing environment\nExperience in project management principles is required\nDesign knowledge of power feed and distribution systems\nDesign, programming, & troubleshooting skills with PLC’s (Rockwell); PC Controls; servo systems; AC/DC coordinate drive controls; HMI/MMI applications; network communications for drives, PLC, & HMI/MMI devices; VFD’s\nDemonstrated Schematic development\nDemonstrated competency in AutoCAD electrical to independently produce electrical schematic/designs\nAbility to develop requests for capital project funding and manage projects up to $500k independently\nDemonstrated leadership for teams with cross functional members\nDemonstrated analytical and reasoning skills to work through problem resolution via RCFA.\nExperience in data acquisition systems & reporting tools\nExcellence in written and verbal communications\nAdvanced computer skills in Excel, Microsoft Project, etc. required\nMaintain housekeeping\nComply with safety rules\nComply with environmental regulations\nBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)\nWillingness to learn and understand Interface's commitment to sustainability\nPerform other duties as assigned\nPhysical demands:\nClimbing ladders, mezzanine, etc.\nStanding for long periods of time\nBachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering\nLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com .
