The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all items are painted in a timely and accurate manner.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Following the provided scheduleHanging product on the paint lineClean and prepare parts before paint processInspect and verify incoming parts for defects and damagesExecute paint process according to company standardsMaintain a clean and organized areaAssist with consumable inventory management as neededOperates forklifts while loading and unloading parts from the paint linePerform other related job activities as requiredAssist with paint line maintenanceCrosstrain to provide inter-departmental support as requiredREPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Report to Paint Lead and Production Manager.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance to new hires and colleagues as potential opportunities arise.RequirementsEDUCATION: High School Diploma preferredREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:1+ years of experience in painting preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsKnowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, respirator, gloves etc.)Willingness to maintain clean shaven face for proper respiratory fitExperience in using power and hand toolsAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsAbility to perform essential shop math consisting of fractions, decimals, basic algebra, and geometryAbility to creatively consider processes and recommend improvements to bolster efficiencyAbility to work within the confines of a standard employee handbook regarding attendance, discipline, off-work conductEQUIPMENT USED: Paint line, Forklifts, Hoists, Cranes, Wrapping & Packaging Machines, Strapping Tools, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Paint Guns, Paint Shaker, Tape, PPE Equipment (Including Respirator)SOFTWARE USED: JobBoss, OfficeINTERPERSONAL SKILLS:Skills in understanding, counseling, and/or influencing people are important in achieving job objectives, causing action, understanding others, or changing behavior; and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others.
