This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to drive high‑quality software delivery across global, cross‑functional teams. You will manage a team of software engineers (local/remote), define strategy and roadmaps, and ensure the successful execution of software development for multiple product lines.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage a software engineering team of roughly 5–10 engineers\nStrengthen team capability through cross‑training, mentorship, and structured development\nLead mid‑size development projects (up to 5 engineers per team)\nDefine and execute software development plans for assigned product lines\nDevelop and maintain product software roadmaps\nBalance project portfolios to maximize technical and business impact\nDrive standardization of development processes, tools, KPIs, and best practices\nEnsure alignment and collaboration with global Software Directors, Product Management, Process Engineering, Platform Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and other stakeholders\nMaintain a strong partnership with software quality teams to ensure first‑time‑right, high‑quality releases\nMeasure and maintain internal customer satisfaction\nProvide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to department‑level process improvements\nDesign, develop, and troubleshoot software for semiconductor equipment control systems\nModify and improve existing software architectures\nWrite, review, and maintain system specifications, software design documents, and test plans\nInvestigate internal/external issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and propose effective solutions\nEvaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for department adoption\nParticipate in system‑level design discussions\nSupport marketing with technical inputs for customer proposals and product specifications\nProvide onsite support as needed, including installations, training, and troubleshooting\nCreate accurate development schedules and deliver to commitments\nSupport department operations through policy creation, process updates, and continuous improvement initiatives\n\nEducation\nBS degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.\nAdvanced technical degree preferred.\nEquivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.\n\nExperience Requirements\n10+ years of software development experience, including:\nC++, C#, Python\nWindows application development\nMulti‑threaded and real‑time systems\nDevice drivers or interrupt‑driven software\nMachine control systems in semiconductor or industrial automation environments\nStrong proficiency in C/C++/.NET\nExperience with software engineering tools including debuggers, source control, build systems, and text editors\nAbility to read, analyze, and translate existing code\nStrong system‑level thinking—capable of understanding how new functionality fits into complex equipment architectures\nAbility to interpret specifications, design documents, APIs, and interface requirements\nAbility to evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve development efficiency\n\nPreferred experience:\nWindows Embedded OS\nGUI development\nData communication & networking\nSemiconductor industry standards (SEMI, etc.)\n\nApply today to be part of what's next.\nWe make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world.
