Courses are assigned based on departmental needs and are subject to student enrollment.\nUnless otherwise indicated, courses are delivered in a traditional face-to-face format on campus and not online. This instructor reports to the Dean, Business Workforce Solutions.\nWhat You Will Do\nPlan and Deliver Instruction\nPlan and teach courses that fulfill current curriculum goals and objectives.\nPrepare a course syllabus that includes course requirements, attendance requirements and grading criteria.\nAdhere to class schedules and meet attendance standards.\nRemain current in practices, trends and research related to the assigned area of specialization.\nUse appropriate assessment techniques to measure student progress toward course goals and objectives.\nSupport Student Success\nAssess student performance and advise students on academic issues.\nIdentify students who need additional instruction to successfully complete course objectives.\nProvide additional instruction to students as needed.\nCheck email or Brightspace for student rosters and other required information.\nMaintain confidentiality regarding student matters.\nContribute to the College Community\nParticipate in college, campus and department evaluation processes.\nAttend adjunct faculty meetings as scheduled.\nInteract constructively with resident faculty.\nPromote the education and training program.\nParticipate in efforts to recruit and retain students and market Gateway.\nComply with college policies, procedures and department guidelines.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee.
