Job title : DispatcherPay rate is : 25.00 per hourAddress/location details : Houston, TX 77029Shift timings: Friday to Monday 6pm to 6am Position Summary: • Direct and coordinate activities of third-party vendors• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Transportation Department• Understands total distribution, transportation, and store operations, with an emphasis on carrier supply chain programs to provide lower cost of product. Essential Job Functions: • Maintain on-time deliveries.• Coordinate with other DTC departments to coordinate schedules and deliveries• Identify and address transportation/service opportunities in a timely fashion.• Update equipment activity and yard control system.• Communicate with the associated departments to schedule deliveries, equipment, and back hauls, and deal with associated problems.• Communicate with the stores to solve delivery problems.• Maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses• Establish delivery routes• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; completes performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations. Minimum Position Qualifications: • Excellent analytical costing and communication skills.• 4-5 years logistics experience• Comparable position or experience• Negotiation skills• Excellent teambuilding skills Desired Previous Job Experience : • Bachelor’s degree preferred
