Job Title: Production PlannerDepartment: Operations, ProductionReports To: Head of CarsonLocation: Carson, CaliforniaEmployment Type: Full-Time / ExemptPosition SummaryThe Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products. This role coordinates demand, materials, and capacity to optimize efficiency while minimizing delays and inventory imbalances.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingCreate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedulesAlign production plans with customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levelsPrioritize work orders and adjust schedules based on changing demandsMonitor schedule adherence and communicate deviationsMaterial Planning & CoordinationEnsure availability of raw materials and components for productionCoordinate with procurement on material shortages and lead timesTrack inventory levels and support inventory control effortsERP / MRP System ManagementGenerate and manage work orders within ERP/MRP systemsMaintain accurate data including BOMs, lead times, and routingAnalyze system outputs to improve planning accuracyCross-Functional CommunicationCollaborate with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering, and Korea HQCommunicate schedule changes, risks, and priorities clearlySupport any production schedule and engineering changesPerformance Monitoring & ReportingTrack key metrics such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and inventory levelsIdentify planning gaps and recommend improvementsPrepare reports for management on production performanceQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)25+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chainSkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and organizational skillsExperience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and coordination skillsBilingual English, KoreanPreferred QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of demand planning or forecastingAPICS certification (CPIM) is a plusWorking ConditionsOffice-based with regular interaction on the production floorMay require occasional overtime depending on production needsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Schedule adherenceOn-time delivery performanceInventory turnover and accuracyProduction plan stability
