This position will be based at our Laredo, TX location.Overall Role PurposeLeads a team of Customs Operations Specialists performing the customs entriesDrives and monitors performance of the Customs Operations SpecialistsEnsures Customs clearance is completed in a timely and efficient mannerEnsures adherence to internal compliance standards and guidelinesSteers and monitors best-shored process elementsInteracts with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers, if requiredKey ActivitiesDirects and coordinates a team of Customs Specialists in daily Operations activitiesEnsures all Customs entries are completed in a timely and efficient mannerSupports in KPI achievements by conducting performance reviews and evaluating Customs Specialist team membersManages team productivity and develops initiatives for efficiency improvementsEnsures operational adherence to defined processing standardsOversees operational account management and ensures delivery against agreed scopeHandles escalations (e.g. dispute with internal/ external customers)Manages operational adherence to compliance standardsIdentifies training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled customs ops teamSteers and monitors best-shored process elementsInteracts with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers, if requiredSkills / QualificationsExtensive knowledge of customs requirements and operational processing of customs activitiesLong-term experience and proven track record in the customs segmentFit for people management roleBrokerage license (if applicable)Proficient decision making skillsHigh degree of written, verbal and organizational skillsDiligent attention to detailsPay Range: $20.62 - $27.50/hr.
