Cloud & Platform ModernisationBuild containerised, cloud-ready services as part of ongoing cloud migration initiatives. Work with AWS services including Lambda, EKS, RDS, S3 and MSK. Improve system observability through metrics, tracing and logging. AI & AutomationUse modern AI development tools, LLMs and coding assistants to improve development and testing efficiency. Identify opportunities for intelligent automation across development and operational processes. Business CollaborationWork directly with traders, portfolio managers and operations teams. Understand financial workflows and translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to production. Requirements3–10 years of commercial experience with Java and back-end development. Experience with microservices, REST APIs and event-driven architectures. Some exposure to AWS or cloud-native engineering. Interest or experience using AI tools to improve engineering productivity. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Comfortable working closely with business and front-office stakeholders.
