Join us!Solutions Architect – IT Solution Delivery (Hybrid)Locations: Dallas, TX or Akron, OHPOSITION SUMMARY:The Architect is responsible for design and implementation of enterprise class business applications and integration solutions for Supply Chain Distribution. In this role, the architect will be responsible for upgrading or defining new architecture systems to support future and current applications. The role interacts with other Solution Delivery and Infrastructure Architects to ensure best practices are being followed for the end-to-end solution.We seek a proactive solution architect who is not afraid to dive into the code when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and should feel comfortable troubleshooting and exploring intricate details to ensure the delivery of robust solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Architecture – Strategy & PlanningParticipate and lead customer meetings to gathers requirements and architect high level solutionCreate technical designs that support Supply Chain Distribution applications; be a subject matter expert and deconstruct complex legacy monolithic applications and create technical solutions that ultimately lead to the design of headless architecture based on micro servicesCollaborate closely with other Solution Delivery/Infrastructure Architects to identify hardware and software needs to accommodate the company’s architectural goalDevelop, review, maintain, advocate, and own a set of architecture documents, plans, and roadmaps. Including, but not limited to Technical Feasibility Assessments, High Level Technical Designs, Architecture Strategies, Reference Architectures, and enterprise standardsParticipate in tactical problem resolution of critical systems – including participation in crisis management analysis and recommendationSolution ImplementationOwn and lead initiatives to define, design and implement solutions which includes reference architectures and estimatesPrepare technical design documents, presentations for architecture review board, reports, and other technical artifactsCollaborate with various business, IT teams and vendors to elicit requirements and implement solutionsLead peer review of design and code to ensure that code adheres to conventions and standardsLead performance testing efforts to validate flexibility, stability, and scalability of the Java environmentWork with IT Project Requester or PM to develop the Technical Feasibility Assessment (TFA) document for Funding Requests (Capex and Opex)Proactively identify and manage inter-project dependencies, priorities, risks, and issuesAcumenDevelop and maintain knowledge of company’s core business processes, strategic business objectives, and strategic initiatives. Liaise with clients and business representatives to understand the needs of business.Self-driven to remain current in leading technologies and technical trends. This includes attending conferences, workshops, user groups, online training, and other research and training activities.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Education Required:College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study.
