Faculty designated as Program Directors also have the responsibility of developing and maintaining their programs.\n\nEducation, and Training:\nProgram Directors oversee the development and monitor the delivery of academic programs and are responsible for ensuring a quality education for students in their programs.\n\nThe Program Director for Radiologic Technology, must have at a minimum:\n\nMaster's degree\n\n4 years of \"in field\" experience\n\n2 years teaching from an accredited JRCERT school.\n\nARRT certified.\n\nBUSINESS CONTRIBUTIONS:\nProgram Directors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to develop, maintain and deliver education services to students through:\n\nCreating and maintaining core curriculum\n\nCommunicating and monitoring delivery of core curriculum\n\nDelivering their own course lectures\n\nFacilitating student engagement\n\nWorking one-on-one with students\n\nAssessing students and providing developmental feedback\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nProgram Director Responsibilities:\nFaculty designated as Program Directors are responsible for the oversight and management of their specific program curricula across the college. To meet this responsibility Program Directors must:\n\nReview program curriculum to ensure materials are up-to-date\n\nReview courses within their respective programs\n\nReview text books, equipment, and materials\n\nCreate and modify course control document as necessary\n\nWork with program coordinators to ensure consistency of delivery across campuses\n\nMeet with local advisory boards to ensure programs meet community/employer needs\n\nDevelop and monitor externship programs\n\nPrepare for and facilitate annual faculty convocation to ensure programs are up-to-date\n\nFaculty Responsibilities:\nAs Faculty Members, Program Directors are also responsible for course delivery at their campus. This includes the following core areas:\n\nPrepare Course Plans and Materials:\n\nReview Course Control Document (CCD)\n\nPrepare syllabus\n\nCreate lesson plans\n\nCreate exams, quizzes, and projects/assignments\n\nCoordinate with librarian and bookstore for availability of materials\n\nDeliver Courses:\n\nAdminister pre-test/post-test\n\nDeliver lectures/facilitate labs\n\nGrade projects and exams\n\nProvide progress reports/mid-term feedback\n\nMaintain grade book\n\nEnforce policies (attendance, dress code, no food and drink...)\n\nMonitor Progress/Attendance:\n\nMonitor student progress and follow-up as needed\n\nTake daily attendance and enforce attendance policy\n\nFollow-up with students who miss a class (phone calls)\n\nReport attendance issues to the Dean\n\nAdvise Students:\n\nAnswer student questions\n\nBe available for one-on‑one assistance/tutoring\n\nRecord Grades and Submit Reports:\n\nMaintain grade books\n\nAdhere to departmental grading policies\n\nProvide Dean with weekly reports\n\nProvide students with mid‑term evaluations\n\nSubmit final grades\n\nOther Duties - Adjunct and Full-time Faculty:\n\nMonitor equipment and supply needs\n\nMaintain classroom\n\nMaintain any relevant licensures and certifications\n\nOther Duties - Full-time Faculty:\n\nAttend campus faculty meetings\n\nParticipate in committees and knowledge sharing forums\n\nPrepare for and participate in convocation\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands are those required in a professional office setting and higher education teaching environment: communicating with coworkers, presenting to a classroom of students (virtual classrooms for on-line), demonstrating procedures and techniques, and getting to and from appropriate classes and offices.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nProfessional office setting: moderate noise levels and controlled indoor climate.\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\n\nLOCATION:\nThis position is an onsite position located at your campus unless otherwise determined by the Executive Director and/or designee.
