We're seeking a GIS DevOps Engineer to power the spatial intelligence that drives critical decisions. You'll design and deliver robust, scalable services for ingesting, storing, and querying geospatial data at scale. If you thrive on solving complex GIS backend challenges and believe geospatial can change the game—let's build something that matters.\r\nResponsibilities:Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and/or on-prem environments\r\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery\r\nImplement infrastructure as code\r\nMonitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems\r\nDevelop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities\r\nCollaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability\r\nEnsure compliance with organizational security and governance standards\r\nCommunicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.\r\nMinimum Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly)\r\nMinimum of 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role\r\nDemonstrated technical experience with DevSecOps\r\nDemonstrated experience working with Kubernetes in production environments\r\nDemonstrated experience with Red Hat OpenShift\r\nProficiency in container technologies such as Docker or CRI-O\r\nExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)\r\nOpen source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.\r\nCapable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team\r\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums\r\nWillingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment with some on-call or after-hours onsite support for customer's mission in either Herndon, VA; Westminster, CO; or St. Louis, MO\r\nDegree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field.\r\nDesired Qualifications:Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)\r\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\r\nUnderstanding of networking, security, and Linux systems administration\r\nKubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, or CKS)\r\nFamiliarity with policy and security tools (e.g., OPA, Kyverno)\r\nExperience with hybrid or multi-cloud platform architectures\r\nBackground in SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices\r\nExperience working with geospatial technology and tools\r\nCompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.\r\nExperience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some IC PED systems is a plus!\r\nPay Transparency: In support of pay transparency at Vantor, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.
