This position will be based at the Williston campus.\n\nThe new faculty member will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses across all levels, including advanced web development, programming languages, object oriented programming, computer hardware and organization, database systems, data structures and algorithms, systems analysis and design, and software engineering with the capacity to support the learning of multiple programming languages including Java, C/C++ and Rust.\nThe successful candidate will have earned either a Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in computer science or related areas and should have previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level. The incumbent’s home campus (Williston) offers a unique blend of Vermont’s natural beauty, historic charm, and vibrant local culture with breathtaking hiking trails, delightful farm-to-table eateries, and cozy boutiques that showcase the town’s authentic vibe.\nThe Information Technology (IT) and Software Engineering (SE) faculty at the Williston campus serve a variety of STEM and health care programs, many of which have external accreditation.\nJob Description and Responsibilities\nThe new faculty member will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate courses across all levels, including advanced web development, programming languages, object oriented programming, computer hardware and organization, database systems, data structures and algorithms, systems analysis and design, and software engineering with the capacity to support the learning of multiple programming languages including Java, C/C++ and Rust.
