Neonatologist (Per Diem) Cumberland, MD Focused Per Diem Opportunity at a Leading Regional Medical Center Are you an experienced Neonatologist looking for a high-impact, short-term engagement this summer? We are seeking a dedicated, Board Certified Neonatologist to provide coverage at UPMC Western Maryland Regional Medical Center . This is an excellent opportunity to support a Level II unit within an award-winning nonprofit hospital known for its specialized surgical and cardiac programs. The Opportunity Join a facility that serves as a critical healthcare hub for Allegany County and the surrounding tri-state area. Clinical Scope: Provide attending coverage for an 8-bed, Level-II NICU (average daily census of 3) and a newborn nursery (average census of 5). Volume: The facility manages approximately 900 deliveries per year. Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts (12:00 PM 12:00 PM) consisting of rounding plus call from a home or hotel setting. Exclusive Availability Needed: This is a high-priority request for the following date block: June 9 19th . Location: Cumberland, MD Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Cumberland offers stunning natural beauty and a rich historical heritage. Facility Reputation: Practice at a hospital recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and Level III Adult Trauma Center, home to the only open-heart surgery program in Maryland west of Baltimore. Compensation Daily Rate: Competitive 24-hour flat rate starting at $2,808 - $2,964 per shift (all hours included). Holiday Pay: 1.25x the standard rate. Orientation: Paid at 50% of the standard rate. Candidate Requirements To maintain our commitment to clinical excellence, candidates must meet the following: Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Neonatology with recent clinical experience. Licensure: Active Maryland State Medical License is required (IMLC not accepted for this role). Experience: Must have been clinically active within the last 12 months with at least 6 months of specialty-specific experience. Availability: Must be available for the full duration of the June 9 19th block. Background: Must have a completely clean malpractice history (no exceptions).
