May develop changes to plans and/or methodology. Provides recommendations for improvements to meet program objectives.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nPerforming internal audits.\nProvide oversight of the manufacture of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed.\nCoordinate activities associated with “first article build” of new products, ensuring that fabricated items are traceable to documented standards at the time of release of product into the production mode.\nDevelop test methods/procedures to support product validation efforts.\nMaintain test equipment to traceable standards.\nPerform performance validation tests to meet customer specifications.\nGenerate test reports of performance validation tests.\nReview of AITF 16969 documentation, instructions, procedures and quality manuals, and ensuring operations is in compliance.\nProvides support to AITF 16949 activities.\nFMA, 8D and SPC\nCustomer quality issues and problem solving to include customer communication & customer visits as required.\nManage production part builds and layouts as it pertains to PPAP.\nWork directly with engineering regarding issues and or engineering changes.\nInvestigates/supports corrective action activities required by either internal or external customer concerns.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired Education & Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.\n3 plus years of work experience in quality assurance.\nExperience in automotive seating.\nCompetencies\nTechnical Capacity\nThoroughness\nCollaboration\nComputer Proficiency\nAbility to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers\nAPQP, SPC, FMEA, & 8D Problem Solving\nAIAG Methods\nBlueprint Reading\nGD&T skills\nConfidentiality\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting and on the plant floor.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
