Made Possible.\n\nPosition Summary\nResponsible for the safe and efficient set-up and operation of the roll stand section, as well as the management and organization of the roll stock for the presses.\n\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities\nSafely perform the following job tasks and operations and demonstrate, by meeting production standards, the capability to perform the necessary job tasks and operations during continuous production.\nReview job jacket with team members\nOrganize and maintain roll stock for presses\nSet up and operate roll stand\nSafely operate clamp truck and forklift to move paper rolls, paper waste, printed cartons, etc.\nMaintain accurate records of allocated board\nEffectively manage and report board waste and damage\nMaintain clean and organized work area\nWhen available, assist during downtime and MR’s as directed by Operators\nPerform duties and responsibilities of Press Catcher as needed:\nCorrectly jog and palletize quality WIP (Work in Process) product from the press\nMonitor print and cut quality of cartons\nPerform basic maintenance on press\nMaintain ongoing communication with Press Operators\nFollow safety rules, adhere to company policies, and AIB/GMP guidelines\nOffer ideas for process improvement\nBe available to work overtime as assigned by the Printing Manager\nWork in a self-directed, self-motivated manner\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nBasic printing comprehension\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nAbility to troubleshoot and problem solve\nGood communication skills\nAbility to train new team members\nMust be able to read, understand and follow work instructions\nGeneral math skills\n\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School/GED diploma\nPost secondary education with machine or mechanical emphasis a plus\n\nWorking Conditions\nMust be able to:\nOperate clamp truck and forklift\nLift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis\nStand and/or walk 100% of time up to 12 hours\nExert push force of 80# every 15 minutes\nNavigate 1-2 steps, 15” in height, up to 30 times in a 12-hr. shift\nStoop and bend as necessary to support work duties\nPerform repetitive work involving hands, arms, upper body\nMust have:\nColor vision and good visual acuity\nGraphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
