An onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA, in this role you will design, develop, and integrate advanced networking features for home and business gateway products on RDK-B. You will work closely with chipset vendors, cross-functional teams, and customer support to deliver robust and scalable solutions.\nLocation\nThis is an onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA.\n\nYour Role\nDesign, develop, and integrate software components for gateway and extender products.\nImplement and enhance features such as Parental Control, firewall/iptables, DHCP, SNMP, TR069/TR181 & network management.\nDebug and resolve issues across embedded Linux environments, including kernel and user space.\nCollaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure compliance with platform standards and seamless integration.\nOptimize system performance and troubleshoot customer-reported issues.\nParticipate in code reviews, unit testing (GTest/GMock), and CI/CD processes.\nYour Skills & Experience\n3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C (C++ is a plus).\nStrong knowledge of RDK-B/OpenWRT/prplOS architecture and broadband gateway technologies.\nHands-on experience with embedded Linux, including kernellevel concepts & system debugging.\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP stack, networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP), and packet flow.\nExperience with firewall/iptables, and IPv6 transition technologies.\nFamiliarity with source control tools (Git/Gerrit) and debugging tools (gdb, valgrind, wireshark, tcpdump).\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex embedded environments.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Wi-Fi technologies and IEEE 802.11 standards (802.11n/ac/ax).\nKnowledge of DOCSIS, MoCA, and other broadband technologies.\nFamiliarity with TR-069/TR-181, SNMP, and remote management protocols.\nExposure to chipset SDKs (Broadcom, Qualcomm, etc.).\nUnderstanding of security protocols (WPA3, RADIUS, SSL/TLS).\nExperience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.\nScripting skills in Python or Shell for automation and testing.\nThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $56,100 - $112,200.\nCapgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
