Automation Controls Engineer

6 Months ContractNo C2CNo relocationQualifications:BSEE with 6+ years’ experience in industrial automationMust have in-depth PLC program design and development Rockwell Allen-Bradley software (RS Logix, FactoryTalk), and Vision Inspection Systems (Cognex) experience.Experience with Operating Systems upgrade in an industrial automation environment (Windows 11 IoT LTSC upgrade for Allen-Bradley PLC & HMI, Ignition SCADA/MES)Experience with all phases of OS upgrade, design, testing, and factory implementation (IQ, OQ, PQ validation, IPC (Industrial PC) testing…etc)Familiar with ISO 13485, and regulatory requirements, especially 21 CFR Part 11.Proven experience in configuring industrial networks (Ethernet/IP) and resolving complex communication issues related to operating system upgrades (e.g., DCOM, Windows security policies).Experience working various device interfaces like DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, TCP, UDP, MQTT, SECS/GEM, REST APIs etc.Experience in implementing and managing complex on-prem and cloud architecture for Ignition SCADA system.Able to travel 30%Responsibilities:Lead the Upgrade Project: Architect and execute the upgrade of existing Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLC and FactoryTalk View HMI environments from legacy Windows OS to Windows 11.Develop comprehensive validation protocols, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) for the new Windows 11 platform.Manage the Change Control Request (CCR) process for all system modifications, ensuring minimal impact to production schedules.Generate and maintain detailed system documentation, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, software design specifications, and validation reports, in accordance with ISO 13485 standards.Manage collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, IT, Quality Assurance (QA), and Validation.
