CDL Class A Driver (Travel Crew)
CDL Class A DriverJob Type: Full-Time, Non-ExemptPay: Competitive, HourlyJob Summary: Our company is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for operating commercial vehicles including semis, chip trucks, log trucks, and equipment trailers to transport materials, and equipment to and from job sites. The ideal candidate has experience driving in residential and job site environments and understands the safety demands of the industry. Must have 3 years of experience.Key Responsibilities:Safely operate CDL Class A vehicles including chip trucks, log trucks, and equipment trailersTransport heavy equipment such as skid steers, lifts, stump grinders, and other machineryLoad and secure materials, and equipment in compliance with DOT regulationsPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsMaintain vehicle logs and required DOT documentationAssist crew members on job sites when not driving (loading brush, ground support, equipment setup)Follow all safety policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with crew leaders and office staffMaintain clean and organized trucks and equipmentQualifications:Valid CDL Class A licenseClean driving recordCurrent DOT medical cardKnowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirementsAbility to operate manual transmissionsExperience hauling heavy equipment and trailersTree service or construction experience preferred but not requiredAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsAbility to lift 50+ lbsOccasional overnight may be requiredSkills & Attributes:Strong attention to safetyDependable and punctualTeam-oriented mindsetAbility to maneuver trucks in tight residential areasMechanical knowledge is a plusWork Environment:Outdoor work in all weather conditionsMinimal physical labor requiredEarly morning start timesWork 40+ hours a weekCompensation & Benefits:Health Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision)Accidental, Life, LTD/STD Insurance OptionsCompany Sponsored Retirement Plan w/ Employer MatchPaid time offPre-Employment Requirements:Upon offer, employees will be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Team Alpine.
