The company offers an environment where professionals can contribute to practical, real-world solutions that support the agricultural community.Role Description The Agricultural Carton and Packaging Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Fresno, CA, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role focuses on supporting agricultural clients by developing and optimizing carton and packaging solutions that protect products, enhance branding, and meet handling and logistics requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing customer packaging needs, recommending appropriate carton and packaging designs, and coordinating with production, design, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery. The specialist will review material specifications, evaluate performance in field and shipping conditions, and help troubleshoot packaging issues such as damage, inefficiencies, or regulatory concerns. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, preparing estimates and proposals, assisting with trials and sampling, and gathering customer feedback to inform continuous product and process improvement.Qualifications Experience with agricultural, corrugated, or carton packaging, including understanding of materials, structural design, and performance requirements for fresh produce or similar products.Knowledge of packaging processes such as die-cutting, printing, gluing, and palletization, and ability to collaborate with production and design teams to execute solutions.Ability to analyze customer requirements, translate them into practical packaging specifications, and support field trials, product testing, and ongoing optimization.Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with growers, shippers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.Proficiency in basic business tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email) for preparing quotes, reports, and technical documentation; familiarity with packaging or CAD software is a plus.Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, seasonal industry.Understanding of sustainability considerations in packaging, such as recyclability, material efficiency, and regulatory or retailer requirements, is beneficial.High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in packaging, agriculture, engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.Comfort working in a hybrid environment
